2009 Through the thought portal

"I can feel a powerful leveraging of Energy in being more deliberate about my thoughts." Abe

'Thoughts'; the nature and origin of them, has lit up as one epic year turns into another. Not surprising then that the distinct concept of  "global new thought" has risen along with this.

I had the great privilege to sit in circle weekly for 6 years with Eleanor Wasson, who passed in the Spring of 2008, by then a centenarian. I regard Eleanor as one of my finest role models of upper decade-dom and I know part of what kept her sharp until death, besides an abiding high regard (Love) for each person who entered her sphere, was this ever-engagement with leading edge thought.

The Association of Global New Thought
featured brightly in Eleanor's lexicon, along with EarthSave, Rainforest Action Network, Natural Step, Department of Peace Campaign, YES! and Pachamama Alliance, and of course our own WomenRise for Global Peace.., to name but a few...

What all these have in common profoundly is an intent and practice of thinking-anew.

So here at this ready portal moment, I bring you ASSOCIATION*OF*GLOBAL*NEW*THOUGHT..
MAY IT BE SO!!

"Once called the "religion of healthy-mindedness" by the philosopher, William James, the New Thought movement was born almost 150 years ago as a revolt against the negative dogmas so prevalent in the churches of that day. The early New Thought movement was driven by the discovery that physical healing was possible through the power of mind and spiritual awareness. As that initial idea unfolded into successful application, practitioners of New Thought began to see that the power of an uplifted consciousness could also bring healing to negative circumstances and conditions in one's personal life. As it evolves today, twenty-first century New Thought is driven by a far broader intention. Planetary healing through self-realization is emerging as the new promise of these teachings.

Out of a deep conviction and pure passion to give our movement a clear voice and commanding presence on the global stage, the Association for Global New Thought - AGNT - has been born. We invite you to learn more about this movement and its global initiatives for peace, justice and healing, and in the process discover your own spiritual calling." http://www.agnt.org/

Rock Paper Scissors! (tree-free paper from stone)

Posted on Jan 2nd, 2009 by TimeToShine : Corrinacorrina TimeToShine
Went this morning to get our printer ink refills at our local Santa Cruz Rapid Refill Ink on Mission Street (831) 423 4030,  http://www.rapidrefill.com/ and saw this tree-free photographic quality ream of paper, and cardstock option, made by a company called Viastone

Since I am always interested in paper made from something other than trees,
I came home and did a web search:
viastone

Here's Treehugger's hit:
"VIASTONE
is a unique printing paper that is made with natural stone, inorganic mineral powder and trace amounts of non-toxic resins. It is designed to be used exclusively with inkjet printers. The production of Viastone is tree-free and does not require water or toxic agents. It is also biodegradable. Some have argued that using stone to produce paper is not entirely sustainable if production is upscaled, since it requires the extraction of limestone. Still, the production of Viastone and other stone-based papers is more benign than the process of producing conventional photo printing paper." Treehugger

From cached (fossil) to streaming (solar) sunshine

Posted on Jan 5th, 2009 by TimeToShine : Corrinacorrina TimeToShine
Last night we (spouses) instituted a 7-day experiment of consciously summoning a good-feeling thought right before sleeping, thus entering least resistant sleep-mode in optimum mental state, greatly increasing the potential of 'pivoting' to a better point of attraction in the night, then consciously pulling that through to first waking moment each morning and be aware of shifting (improved) perspectives on all manner of little and big things through the day. This morning I had the insight that this is akin to going solar; going direct to source (sunshine self) instead of to where we found out something like it is stored (fossil fuels).

Domain of no thought thought

Posted on Jan 6th, 2009 by TimeToShine : Corrinacorrina TimeToShine
On thinking no thoughts..
(Metaphysics 101)

She thought it was no thoughts
but she was 'waiting'
and when her expectant waiting
did not coalesce in
the 'Arriving'
she turned into a hollow girl
who could do nothing
but fill up with tears

She caught
that the stance
was a thought
and grokked
that it wasn't nothing...
by what it brought!!
