REILLY THE CHILD

Rocking Reilly
In the quiet of a secret afternoon
I am moved.
Late in your third trimester
I return
Our Lady says you are
The most beautiful pregnant woman
She has ever seen

Then I see Reilly the child
(Great joy at the name even)
Delivered safely into our midst
And go down on my knees in reverence
For these girl children
We have forged a path
For this leading edge of creation
We determine always
To serve and play and act
For Life
For Life itself
