About Me:
I loved the Secret of Roaninish. I loved Marge Piercy's Women on the Edge of Time. I love the poems of Mary Oliver and the way David Whyte has re-woven mid-life.
The following Flowgram gives you a two minute window into what/why I blog&post, and also mentions the 3 groups I have initiated, and to which I wholly invite you to contribute:
I walk a fine line and bridge between worlds. I'm a planetweaver. I made that word up in 1989 because I was intent upon re-inventing work and networking. I wanted to be weaving, then we would be humming (with contentment and absorption) and singing and be part of a planet dance that would evolve us without efforting.
My predominant analogies include threads and fabric, baskets and weaving. There has to be whimsy and wonder for me to jump in. There has to be a sparkle for me to be drawn.
I like deep green places, wildness and wet.
Tenderness is a huge healing force on the planet.
Endnote: The Unworry Wonder hat, otherwise known as
The Minnie Hat, I crocheted during the month leading to my grandaughter Minnie's birth, loving hanging out with my very pregnant -and-lovin'-it daughter Ninya. The multi-colored hat fine-crocheted with silk embroidery threads, holds everything from our delightful teas in their summer garden talking about everything under the sun, to train journeys back and forth and a string of quietly happy evenings.
Atop the hat is an Un-worry doll (always better to Wonder than to worry). Ninya and Corrina are now convinced that the crochet gene lies dormant, coming alive like desert frogs in the desert rain, in the vibrancy of the pre-birth experience!
